Connection Technology for Shipbuilding and Offshore Applications

Your Product and Development Partner

From deck machinery and engine rooms to safety-critical systems, SERTO Group develops reliable tube connections and system solutions for demanding marine applications.

The world’s oceans are among the most challenging operating environments. Salt-laden air, extreme temperatures, and high pressures put materials and systems to the test every day. This is where EXMAR delivers smart products and technologies for a wide range of applications in shipbuilding as well as onshore and offshore environments.

EXMAR components and systems are used in shipbuilding and yacht construction, oil and gas production facilities, as well as shipyards and port facilities. Our fittings and valves are approved by internationally recognized classification societies.

With decades of experience in system design and optimization, combined with ready-to-install tube assemblies, SERTO Group is your trusted product and development partner.

Typical Onboard Applications

Deck Machinery

Deck Machinery

Hydraulic systems on deck are continuously exposed to vibration, high pressures, and salt-laden air. Reliable tube connections help ensure the safe, long-term operation of deck cranes, anchor winches, and steering systems.

Typical Applications

  • Anchor Winches
  • Deck Cranes
  • Steering Systems
  • Lifeboat Launching Systems
Engine Room

Engine Room

The engine room combines high temperatures, continuous vibration, and limited installation space. Leak-free tube connections are essential to ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Typical Applications

  • Fuel Lines
  • Lubricating Oil Systems
  • Cooling Water Systems
  • Instrumentation and Control Systems
Cargo Handling

Cargo Handling

During loading and unloading operations, hydraulic and pneumatic systems must perform reliably at all times.

Typical Applications

  • Cargo Pumps
  • Valve Control Systems
  • Tank Instrumentation
  • Loading Arms
Safety Systems

Safety Systems

Safety systems often need to operate reliably for years with minimal maintenance while remaining ready for immediate use in an emergency.

Typical Applications

  • Fire Suppression Systems
  • Emergency Hydraulic Systems
  • Lifeboat Systems
  • Emergency Control Systems

System Solutions: More than individual Components

In addition to high-quality connection components, EXMAR develops complete tube systems and custom assemblies. From engineering and manufacturing to fully tested, ready-to-install solutions, we support shipyards and system integrators worldwide.
Einbaufertige Rohrleitungen und Kits

Ready-to-Install Tube Assemblies and Kits

Every year, we manufacture more than 150,000 meters of metal tubing. Most of these tubes are bent and assembled with fittings, valves, ball valves, or couplings from the EXMAR and SERTO product ranges.
Rohre biegen

Tube Bending

For tube bending, the SERTO Group operates fully automated, CNC-controlled bending machines designed to handle tube diameters of up to 60 mm and workpieces within an operating radius of up to six meters.
